About 350 calories a serving!
1 box of wheat pasta 2 bottles of a basic pasta sauce (no cheese) I used the walmart brand- was 1.22 a bottle. 1 whole onion chopped large chunks 1 whole green pepper chopped large chunks 1 lb of lowfat turkey (I get italian seasoned) 1/2 mushrooms sliced Minced Garlic Olive oil
Start a large pot for boiling water for the pasta.
Then put a drop of olive oil in a pan and drop about a tablespoon of minced garlic in to saute as the pan heats up. Ground up the turkey and cook till pink- pour off all excess fat.
Add pasta to boiling water and set a timer for the length of time it needs to cook.
In another large pot on medium heat, stir in the almost cooked turkey with both bottles of sauce. Add another tablespoon of minced garlic. In the mean time, put another small drop of olive oil and table spoon of minced garlic in the first pan. Put all of the veggies into this pan on medium heat. Its probably totally full, just stir fry the veggies till they’re still crispy but no longer raw. Pour off any liquid and then mix in with sauce and turkey.
I love garlic so I add another tablespoon to the sauce mix. I let this sauce simmer, stirring frequently as I wait for the pasta to finish. I drain the water off, rinse quickly with cold water, and then mix the pasta and sauce together.
