On Sunday I got the opportunity to run a #VCQB partner drill for my first time with Kris “Tanto” Paronto. I definitely messed up on a few things (but made sure to still be safe throughout), I know I learned quite a bit from doing it, and from watching the video after. From almost falling out of the vehicle, to not having enough ammo for the drill (we did it spontaneously so I wasn’t prepared), to moving at the same time as Tanto, to not adjusting for my offset ( make sure to watch all the way through), to having my weapon sticking out from behind cover… You can hear Kris yelling for me to keep shooting but because it was a drill and not real life I was waiting for him to know that I definitely wasn’t shooting in his direction so he could run back to where I was. It was my first time putting a lot of things together with a partner and hopefully far from my last and I’m thankful for this video so I can look to correct these things.
