Photo Caption: After I hit up sedona last week, I had to work in PHX for a client so of course I called up my AZ peeps to see who could shoot.. @blazing_heavens and I took off to Superstition Mountains to get in some MW time in spite of the weather reports touting “mostly cloudy”… we ended up napping in the car because there were a number of clouds but they eventually cleared up and we explored in the dark.. I actually hate doing that (prefer scouting during the day and coming back) but I was able to find this composition and a couple others I liked… I shot a focus stack of 20 images in the foreground and 20 for the mountains and sky.. there’s plenty of light pollution from the bathrooms and surrounding areas that I didn’t need to light any of this scene.. after shooting till almost 5, I went in search of Derek who I found back in the car asleep..
