The Nation’s Capital

I was hoping for some good weather as I wandered around the Capital on Sunday afternoon. I was with some UFC friends and we only had a couple hours so after hitting the Newseum to see their Photo of the Year exhibit, we walked down towards the Capital Building. The clouds were sprinkling a tiny bit of rain and added a good background behind the building.
I processed this by photo by converting the 3 shots to 5 tifs at -2 -1 0 +1 +2 and then tonemapping in Photomatix. I then imported it into photoshop and masked out different areas of the image to process each part separately. I used the tutorials at http://farbspiel.wordpress.com/ to learn all these different processes…

DC Metro- Pentagon Station

I went sightseeing yesterday in Washington DC w/my friends Nick & Aaron @nickusmc1 @aaronrileymma .. For people that live in a city already that’s a tedious thing to do so I appreciate that they went along with me.. My mission was to find some cool photos and while I didn’t get a lot of them, I definitely was successful in my endeavor.
This photo was taken at the Pentagon Station on the DC Metro as we were en route to the Archives Metro Station. I LOVE the ceilings in their public transportation and took full advantage of them; in spite of the “no photography” sign emblazoned on the wall next to where I stood to take this photo..
I took 3 images at -2, 0, +2 and then converted them in Photoshop to Tifs at -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4.. I tonemapped using photomatix. I imported into photoshop and I masked out different sections of the image and applied curves adjustment layers, messed with saturation layers, burned and dodged, and more…
Hope you enjoy it!

@headrushbrand of Fat Joe. Except, he isn’t very fat anymore. Somehow “Skinny Joe” just doesn’t sound as menacing though..

My First Trash The Dress Shoot
.

Trash the Dress is a concept I had never heard of until recently when I joined google+ a few months ago. This is the act of getting married in the wedding dress, and then trashing the dress you will NEVER use again the day after in a photoshoot.
I had the opportunity to try it out a couple weeks ago when I headed to Hawaii for a friends wedding. It was very creative and a lot of fun… You can check out some of my favorite shots by going here: http://tracylee.org/trash-the-dress
DetailsI don’t do too much female photography..

But I never said I was anti hot chicks in bikinis on the beach in Hawaii w/ me in a bikini as well… lol, took this at sunrise on Saturday of Fight Weekend..

Woke up early to catch the sunrise over Waikiki…
And it was beautiful.. I’m thinking that the sunsets are going to be so much better though.. But who am I really kidding? I didn’t get up for the sunrise, that was a bi-product of being up so early.. I woke up to get some work done, lol…

The Masonic Temple in Philly..
I am not for lack of interesting buildings and sculptures to shoot here in Philadelphia, PA… I got in yesterday afternoon and have shot photo after photo of their fantastic buildings and monuments.. Here’s one I took of the Masonic Temple right next to City Hall..
DetailsSo I created an entire HDR section..
I’m addicted… Creating HDRs has become my drug and for the last week, all the photos I have taken while running around in Chicago have been with the intention of creating an HDR out of them… It’s been a lot of fun; a process while not difficult at all, extremely creative and fun to attempt… Please check out all of them by clicking the photo below!!
DetailsMy first HDR Attempt…
I have long admired Trey Ratcliff’s work and have wanted to try my hand at HDR photography but never really taken the time to sit down and try it.. I even have gone as far as taking bracketed exposures of different things I have come across in my travels but never done anything with them. Today, I took some time to sit down and take Trey’s FREE tutorial located here: http://www.stuckincustoms.com/hdr-tutorial and this is the result of it and a photo I took while passing through Amish country after UFC last September in Indianapolis.

Brandon Boyd of Incubus..

I was recently given a photo credential for the San Diego Incubus show by my good friend, Ben Kenney; he also happens to be the Bassist for the band.. It was the second concert on their new tour and I grabbed a number of my fighter friends to go see the show.. I had a blast shooting from stageside (rhymes with cageside!) and watching the concert in the beautiful SD weather.. I hope someone likes the Dethrone sweatshirt I left out there!!
Anyhow, I really liked this photo of Brandon Boyd, although there are a bunch of photos from the night that I really liked!! You can check them out here:
