Photo Caption: I still have a ton of photos I’m going through from last week’s 5 day camping trip. This photo was from day 2 with @mattcookii when we drove up to Bodie and then Bridgeport Hot Springs thinking we could get a good composition there but Bodie closes at 6 and Bridgeport was interesting to say the very least. So we had to pull out a location last minute and decided to head into Tioga Pass to look for a new composition. I had never done a mountain shot with a lake so we decided to look for one. This lake we found is the 3rd one past the entrance to the park and was right off the parking lot. I have a thing for shooting at blue hour after that week and that particular day was no different. I shot multiple images with the intention of stacking for noise reduction and now that I’m more proficient at using starry landscape stacker, it’s a pleasure to use. The trees were lit by passing cars. Only thing about this image is that I was so cold up at 10k feet i wasn’t diligent about getting perfect focus. I ended up taking my shots, and then falling asleep in the car with the heat running while Matt finished shooting.
