Photo Caption: The good thing about late season Milky Way is that it happens early in the evening so that you can shoot the sunset & MW, go to sleep and then get up for Sunrise… So that’s exactly what I did when I was in Bisti Badlands 2 weeks ago.. Without an alarm, I actually got up every morning by 6am… I wandered the hoodoos that morning, waiting for the sun to peek through and just enjoyed the solitude. We had camped right at the base of the hoodoos so this was directly in our tent’s backyard although really, we were in theirs..
