Back in beginning of May, my friends and I headed to Escalante, UT on an mission to shoot the Milky Way over Reflection Canyon, which we successfully did.. I also planned on hitted the seldom visited Dragon or Sunset Arch and after that trip it became one of my favorite places to camp in Escalante. Not sure if there’s a time warp of black hole there, but each time i’ve been, we spend then entire next day just relaxing and playing in the shade of the arch.

There was 3 of us shooting that night, and everyone else in the group watching. We lit up the underside of the arch with little tiny Lux-Pro Flashlights Keychain lights, and the front was light painted with a LUX pro headlamp.. I used Starbucks napkins as diffusers on the keychains to adjust the color of the light they threw. I had forgotten about this image until Phill Monson started posting his images of the same arch!
