Every time I have made…

Photo Caption: Every time I have made the trek to Havasu Falls, I have discussed wanting to hike the extra 16 miles RT to the confluence of the Colorado River and Havasu Creek, smack dab in the Grand Canyon. I have also talked about wanting to shoot the MW at Upper Navajo Falls.. Well, on this past trip I finally did both (much to the dismay of my feet) and luckily convinced @mb.stark to hike with me to the falls in the middle of the night (much to the dismay of Matt lol). It was already 3:30 in the morning and we were set to do the hike out the next day. We got to the falls and set up at the farther point out that we could only to realize that the Milky Way didn’t quite line up yet…

Using photo pills, I saw that it would barely line up right around 5am so I got busy working on lighting using two lumecube.com/160.html (use code TRACYLEE at the previous link for FREE US shipping!)…

It never fully lined up before the sky started getting brighter; at the settings we were shooting at it showed blue hour pretty quick. I could have adjusted my settings but it seemed futile and we were super cold and tired by then. We only got an hr sleep before we had to be up again. Bummed I didn’t get the shot I wanted but still think this turned out pretty cool.. Now I’m motivated to go back and do more hiking for the shot I want!! lol
