Photo Caption: Throughout Death Valley, in certain areas of the park, I have come across what I have dubbed as “Rubber Rocks”… They’re some very squishy, interesting, and inconsistent shapes and formations with no rhyme or reason to them… I have saved a number of locations where they “grow” and vowed to make it back to see them.. I came across these even more odd than normal ones and quickly set up my comp and shot 15 images for the sky.. The GC had already set but the MW still looked incredible in the sky. I then refocused on the closer foreground and shot 15 for the ground with a LumeCube.com/160.html (Use TRACYLEE for free US Shipping) lighting it from the side bouncing off the ground out of frame for a more even light.. I used auto white balance and while i increased saturation quite a bit, i didn’t make up these color differences that appeared in the sky…
