I took off into the desert with my friend @KeithEvans a couple months ago looking for some interesting comps that we had never seen before.. Although we were very close to Vegas, it took a while to get out here due to 4×4 roads. We set up camp and then scoped out this comp for star trails later that evening. The moon was up till about midnight although we should have started shooting a bit earlier than we did for our foreground shots because of the shadows. ——
We came back here just before midnight and Keith drove his truck up and down the road for our cameras foreground images. I left my camera going all night using the Case Relay by @TetherTools and woke up to over 1000 images before the battery on my external USB battery died.. My camera battery usually gets in 3-400 on a 30 second exposure..

I definitely would have done a lot of things a lot different in this shot and wish that i had but I still like the end result!
