Photo Caption: I’d say, shoot anyways!!! In the spring I took off to the Flagstaff area and planned out a ton of stuff into a 2 day trip. I think we hit about 6 different locations and this was the first night one.. Wupatki National Monument is located a bit north of Flagstaff and is home to ancient pueblos and is rich in Native American ruins… We arrived after dark so finding a composition that worked with the Milky Way was tough, and dealing with the clouds was another problem. We went and I shot anyways as we watched the clouds continue to roll in.

This is 10 images stacked in Starry Landscape Stacker for Noise Reduction.. This was lit by bouncing a lumecube.com/160.html (use code TRACYLEE for free US Shipping!) off a short wall in front of my camera. This was pretty early in the season so at the time we were shooting the Milky Way was pretty low in the sky.. Rho Opiuchi is highlighted and looks bloated due to the cloud cover; I LOVE it!
