So in 2 weeks I did 3 crazy trips and this was number two to Great Basin National Monument with @SaolyBensonPhoto… We got there in the morning so we did a Lehman Cave tour and then set up camp as well as met up with my friend Gretchen who works at GB… we decided to hike to Teresa and Stella Lake to shoot the Milky Way that night and we got a head start but Gretchen caught up to us on the way in.. we hit Stella Lake right before sunset and decided to hike to Teresa to scope it out… The water level was pretty low so we decided that Stella was our spot and made the hike back.. It was coming up on Blue Hour as we got our equipment set up so I shot a number of foreground shots while I waited for the MW to make her appearance… I love the way a blue hour Milky Way looks and that’s what I have here in this photo… The 3rd part of the blend was for the water which I had to color correct to match the sky…
