Photo Caption: Have you ever had a location you were just “wrong” about? One that you were sure wasn’t going to have a good comp, because you scoped it out, but then someone came up with an incredible one? What location is that?

This is that comp for me in the eastern sierras.. I was thinking that the Milky Way would never line up well THROUGH the arch (although it does if done right, ask @wayne_pinkston) but then @j.snow_photo did an amazing comp here similar to this and I was proven wrong.. so I went back and took this…

I messed up on my focus stack for this but luckily I was able to make it still look pretty good… the cactus is 3 images focus stacked, the rocks 12 images, and the sky 25 images… these were taken at blue hour and then just after. I used a @LumeCube Panel in the rocks (use code TRACYLEE10 for 10% off and free US Shipping). I don’t recall all my settings off the top of my head so will update later!
