Silent Dancer

An eight hour drive across a barren, icy landscape in search of an epic photograph was very typical of me; I left thoughtlessly without truly knowing if the lights were going to show her face and dance for me that night. I could have taken a left at the end of the driveway to head to the boring tours I had booked, but instead I took a right and headed on a long journey across treacherous roads to the almost deserted town I ended up in that evening. I was rewarded for my perseverance and not only did I have an amazing meal from a town local, I also spent hours in sub-zero temperatures to capture her beautiful silent dance that night! These stones arches mark the seasonal solstices; I hope you can feel from this image, the history and excitement I felt from being there that night.
