#TheGreatMilkyWayChase Day 8 continued… we left Marble CO with a 5 hr drive towards Green River UT… We planned on setting up there for a few days at an RV Park (We ended up @ICampgreenriver where the staff has been absolutely amazing!!) and taking day trips out from there.. We got in later than planned and decided to rest and edit images before heading out at 1am to catch a better alignment over Dead Horse Point’s river bend. We got there around 2 am and had plenty of time to set up so I ran my tracker for a while and then did this stacked pano. I stacked 20 images for two part of sky, and then 4 longer exposed images for the foreground after the moon rose. I really wasn’t sure how well this pano was going to merge, but with a little help, it went together awesome… The smoke on the horizon made for a yellow haze on an otherwise super dark sky..
